During the war waged by Israel against the terrorist group Hamas, many young men were wounded. Dr. Anton Varshavsky operated on a soldier with severe head and neck wounds. This soldier was admitted to the hospital in critical condition. There were many fragments lodged in his neck, and one of them was two millimeters from a vital blood vessel.
Dr. Anton Varshavsky successfully operated on the soldier and thus saved his life.
